LAND ROVER SERIES 2A 88 SWB. Beautiful series 2a Land Rover in lovely condition. This is a very usable vehicle and I use it daily for work. It's 100% reliable, and needs no mechanical or structural work. Registered as an historic vehicle on the log book.

Log book in hand and in my name. It starts first time every time and runs perfectly. Never smokes, not even on start up in the mornings.

Very nippy and benefits from the ultra reliable 2.5 15J engine. The engine stays cool even pulling trailers uphill! Fitted with free wheeling hubs and a fairey overdrive which makes it as usable as a defender on the motorway and long journeys.

It recently had a bare metal respray in deep bronze green but the bodywork was not corrected too much as I wanted to keep the character it's built up over the last 53 years. Fitted with a series 3 gearbox and bulkhead.

It now has synchromeshes in all 4 gears which makes it a pleasure to drive. New door tops fitted and a new drivers door. Tan leather seats, very comfortable with inertia seat belts. Will need a new canvas at some point as this one is quite tired now. Only takes minutes to fit another and these aren't expensive.
