1965 Land Rover Series 2 SWB 88 2.25L Diesel Tax & MoT Exempt Galvanised Chassis

  

This is a retirement sale and more complete project Land Rovers will be offered in due course. For Sale is my Land Rover Series 2a 1965 SWB 88 Soft Top in Bronze Green Just Painted. This is ex military released in 1982.

THIS HAS A GALVANISED CHASSIS FITTED. Fantastic looking Land Rover loads of original features plus a canvas roof, new paint, great chassis. She does runs and drives and changes gear but engine needs some work its very smokey and i would suggest it needs a piston sorting. IT IS A GREAT LOOKING CAR WITH A VERY SOLID GOOD GALVANISED CHASSIS.

This has a 2.25l Diesel engine fitted - this does start needs a bit of easy start - it does run - but is smokey and tappy so i think its a piston probably no2 so either just repair or change engine - engine is an ex military engine. Clutch is working fine and i drove her today around my field in all gears also the brakes are good too. Chassis is a galvanised one very good and solid should last forever. Complete car lots of many original features. The panel work is pretty good for a Series 2a. Has the rare Maltese cross grill. It has a soft top roof.

The bulkhead is very good and is the metal type with center dash pod. The electrics have not been tested or used and will need some tinkering. This in mind you will need to get trailered home ask if you need a quote. Seats are good and functional.
