Land Rover Series 1 1957 Lovely original bodywork and paint

  
Land Rover Series 1 1957. It has had 3 former owners from new and was regularly MOTd until 2013. It still has the original buff logbook. Its excellent numberplate comes with it but you cannot transfer it to another vehicle.

The body is exceptional for the age with lovely original paint... One rear wing a bit crinkled... You def wouldn't want to paint it. A new rear crossmember and apart from that it has had no other welding and I don't believe it needs any.

The bulkhead is good,,,, previous owner did some welding but again executed well (butt welds rather that covering rust with patches) The engine is a 2 1/4 litre petrol and runs sweetly. The gearbox is from a series2 and works well except will gently jump out of second. The brakes work but not the sharpest. The wiring loom is poor. All in all a lovely little project!
