Land Rover Series 1 1957 Original paint. Relatively straight forward project

  
I've owned this Landrover for some 5yrs but other car projects have got in the way so it must go! When I bought it the owner drove me around town for 15mins and it ran great. He told me it all worked well tho occasionally gently jumped out of second. Fitted with a 2 1/4 litre petrol engine which runs sweetly. Fitted with the later and stronger series2A? Across to reverse needs attention, Jumps out of second gear. Original paint, really lovely patina, you would be mad to paint this vehicle. Generally very straight, rear nearside wing bit wrinkled. Ive welded on new rear crossmember (original spec) rest of chassis (whilst superficially rusty) is original and sound and requires no welding, neither are there any patches. Previous owner has done what was required, done soundly.... Metal properly butt welded rather than over-patched; not extensive repairs.

At some point in copper. Wheel cylinders work and don't leak. Shoes OK but all system needs at least bleeding and adjustment.

They all work tho sides go off when main beam turned on. Horn and washer not connected. Comes with original buff logbook. The item "Land Rover Series 1 1957 Original paint.
