This Land Rover is from my private collection. It is difficult to know where to start with the description as it is a very rare beast!

Chassis number 16131053 was exported from Solihull fully built to Rootes Motors Limited, Vancouver, Canada on 13th October 1950. It is a Left Hand Drive North American Dollar Area spec (NADA). Lighting regulations were different and therefore Lucas 488 rear lights were fitted instead of D lights and the holes had a triangular cover installed over them. The front bulkhead sidelights were again blanked off and lucas sidelights installed in the front wings. The rear number plate was placed centrally on a plinth on the tailgate and illuminated with a Lucas number plate lamp.

The Land Rover is a matching numbers car. Original 1600 engine number 16130895. Original dated wheels, radiator, distributor, axles, gearbox, chassis etc. Registered as 477 UYP in the United Kingdom.

Chassis is the most original I have ever seen with only minor surface corrosion and the bulkhead is the same. It was aquired from Northern Alberta, Canada where the dry but very cold climate means that cars do not rust.

Owned from new by a Garage Owner/ mechanic who only used it for hunting for a couple of months of the year. An A frame was used to tow it to the hunting area which is still fitted as part of its history. All new brakes, autosparks wiring loom, wheel bearings, full exhaust. New Undercover Covers period correct Sand Hood and door flaps. New perspex in door tops.

New correct type 600 x 16 tyres. Most of the paint has been ice blasted off the body having lived in the harsh climate of Northern Alberta but I would not paint it! Now driving and stopping well, ready to be enjoyed. Can be viewed off Junc 14 M4 Near Hungerford Berkshire. UK and EU transport arranged at competitive pricing.
