Which as you can see is marvellous and much admired by all who see him. Of course more snaps can be sent by request to anyone who is serious. It is believed his former years were with the RAF then went on to an Agricultural company and then to a few owners in Edinburgh. It was 2 years before he was completely restored and there is a blog that will go with the car to show the full process. 90,000 miles and less than 1000 since rebuild. Engine was stripped down , bores honed, new rings fitted, new main and big end shells, new valve guides and seals and new timing chain. Stripped and replaced parts where necessary but generally in good order.
New seals fitted and filled with fresh EP90. New clutch fitted prior to mating gear box back to engine. All smaller parts removed and refurbished.Sandblasted and treated as required. Bulkhead removed and any rot cut out and replaced. Sandblasted to remove all rust and immediately coated with red oxide primer, then under coated. New footwells, door pillars and bottom brackets. Wax injected into all cavities.
Axles cleaned and painted (front one replaced as slightly bent). Replaced and drive shaft done also.New rear half chassis cut off and new one fitted. Jigged prior to removal then blasted, treated with rust remedy, 2 coats of rust stabilising primer and black stone chip on areas exposed to wheel spray. Chassis top coated with 3 coats of satin black. All internal box section injected with wax to preserve. All worn parts replaced on four corners. Swivel balls were in perfect condition so only new seals required. New spring U bolts and shocks fitted also. All were removed, stripped and panel beaten where necessary.
New bumper fitted and refurbished and (very rare) Turner Winch re installed. Body panels have been further stripped and re done in 2017 then finally painted in 2 pk Marine Blue.Wheels also done in correct limestone. All new seats and seals to doors and other areas requiring. New sealed beam lamps installed in the refurbished surrounds. He really is beautiful and as original as was possible to retain. Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
