With only 58k on the clock, this Landy starts on the button every time and runs smoothly. Everything works, that is: all the mechanics, every gauge, light and switch. Serviced last year, with an MOT until October 2018. The transmission is in full working order, 2 wheel driver, 4 wheel drive, high and low range.

I have owned the land rover for 3 and a half years and had intended to keep it indefinitely as it is an excellent well preserved original example of the series 2a model. This land rover has been restored by a previous owner onto a galvanised chassis but maintains its original character and hasnt had loads of odd parts added (see photos). This will also be MOT exempt after May 2018. More photos to be added soon.

The land Rover boasts the following. Galvanised Chassis - the best change you can make to these classics in my opinion- not more worrying about chassis rot. Fairey Overdrive (essential addition if you want to drive at more than 40 MPH) makes running around far more pleasant and economical. Parabolic shocks and leaf springs (more comfortable).

Stainless steel exhaust (manifold back- original design so cant be noticed but wont rot on you). Original Smiths heater refurbished with upgraded Claytons matrix (better performance). Original Lucas individual wipers (fully working). Dynamator (alternator conversion in a dynamo skin which gives far superior charging). Rear bench seats with 4 x lap seat belts. Rare Cat Flap rear door. Includes aluminum Front Runner Expedition roof rack. The Landy underwent a complete rewire last year, this means the wiring is probably of a better quality than when it rolled off the production line and neater. The Landy runs well; smokes very little from cold start; the diesel engine runs smoothly; the gearbox and overdrive are not noisy; the 4x4 and high range low range all function correctly. With this you would probably want to replace the rubber door seals as they are looking tired. Please don't waste my time with ridiculously low offers, I'm not that desperate to sell. You are welcome to come to view and I will take you for a test drive. Don't ask me to load onto a transporter. I would be willing to deliver in East Anglia on cleared bank transfer and contribution towards fuel.
