Land Rover Series 2A 88, Historic Vehicle, (Tax Exempt) Runcorn Cheshire
Manufactured & first registered in 4th November, 1968. MOT until 21st June, 2017.
2.5 naturally aspirated diesel engine. Bulkhead is from a series 3 & in solid condition, with no rust.
The chassis is solid, but has been patched in the past. All the tyres have at least 10mm tread remaining. Servo assisted brakes, with dual master cylinder. Original series 2a front wings fitted, (no hole for heater grill). Fully serviced annually, (600 miles).Re-conditioned high pressure injector pump, new master cylinder & new Bosch battery fitted in the last few years. I have owned this Land Rover since May, 2009. I spent a year undertaking a refurbishment back down to the chassis & re-build, carefully checking all parts, replacing as necessary, with the vehicle back on the road June, 2010.
It has been on the road since, with an annual mileage of approx 600 miles. The felt window channels will need replacing shortly, but there ar. E no other faults known. No water leaks or major oil leaks. Given the type & age of the vehicle, viewing recommended.
Please no time wasters, apologies to genuine buyers. Please note these old Land Rovers don't drive like modern cars. I've had a few who think they do. They are nice to drive, but are not as comfy or as quick as modern day cars, (max speed without overdrive 45 to 50 mph).
