Would consider px for a 300tdi 90. Any more questions please message me or call or text on 07500905988. A 1962 car that has been rebuilt on a galvanised chassis by previous owners. Not an original car by any means but a solid well built car with lots of potential for those looking for an easy restoration or for someone who wants an easy to care for classic.

The bulkhead is in generally good condition although it could use a passenger side door pillar within a couple of years as Ive noticed a small rust hole. And I think its been repaired on the drivers side previously.

The door wells are in excellent condition vents are in good condition but could use a new set of seals. Built on a Richards Galvanised Chassis by previous owner which is still in excellent conduction. No signs of rust anywhere and straight as an arrow.

Car also has a nearly new galvanised bumper. The car is fitted with a safari roof with roof vents which all open and close although the passengers front one leaks in the heavy rain. Car is also fitted with the car flap tail gate system. Car is currently on standard multi leaf springs which worked fine for my applications. The steering system is worn with a medium amount of play in the steering, Its not the track rod ball joints as they have all been renewed.

I believe it is the steering box as it has had a consistent oil leak since I got the car and was dry when I first filled it. I will include a steering box rebuilt kit containing all bearings and seals from paddocks spares. I haven't done it because it doesn't bother me.

Rebuilt series 3 LT76 gearbox and transfer box fitted about 1,500 miles ago. All news bearings and Corteco seals. 1st/2nd syncro rings replaced and 3rd/4th synchro hub replaced. Reverse gear and bush replaced. Please note second gear feels tight and can crunch if not double de-clutched on a down change but this has been improving with more mileage so I expect it will fully free itself eventually.

Minor oil leaks from front output shaft and transfer case sump gasket. Also new AP driveline clutch pressure and friction plate and release bearing fitted same time. Fitted with all news drums and mintex brake shoes summer 2019.

Stops very well for a car with no brake servo. Also fitted with a new brake master cylinder spring 2020.

Uprated Wipac headlights and Boomslang performance headlight loom. New battery fitted summer 2018. New fuel tank and sender fitted spring 2020 and fuel line from pump to carb also replaced at this time.

Both front wheel bearings renewed last year with OEM kits. Fitted with a 5 main bearing 2.3 petrol engine when built. Engine in lovely and smooth with no knocks or nasty noises. Fitted with Weber 34 ICH by me after the zenith wore out the throttle spindle.

Serviced every 6 months in my ownership. Both crank seals are good although there is a small weep from around the sump gasket but so minor Ive never had to top up oil between services.

Also fitted with an accuspark electronic stealth ignition distributor. New spark plugs summer 2019 but cleaned and filed and gaped at each service. Also fitted with new HT leads and coil summer 2019. Also fitted with new uprated alternator and new dayco fan belt. New radiator fitted winter 2018 with new coolant, please note there is a small hole near the top of the radiator caused by a slip with a spanner but it has been correctly soldered and hasnt leaked a drop in over a year with several long trips on hot days.

Both propshaft a replaced in summer 2018 and regularly greased since. Both differential pinion seals have been replaced in winter 2019-20 with Corteco seals. Both axle breathers have been replaced. Both axle cases are excellent.

Both have very minor leaks from the drain plugs but never had to top up between services. Also front swivel balls at in OK condition with some minor pitting starting neither is currently leaking but I would estimate theyll need replacing in the next few years. The cars is running on 5 X 7.50X16 B.

F Goodrich Trac edge tyres on Range Rover classic rostyle wheels. Slightly perished but a couple of years left. Please note the spare is a standard series rim. The car will also come with its original series wheels and I can even fit the tyres on them and balance them if you want. Car would benefit from 2 new door bottoms as each has small rust holes in the bottom part of the frames.

One new door top on the drivers side, passenger side top has been replaced. The bottom of the seat box is corroded but all panels are available It just hasnt bothered me so havent done it.

And now the cosmetic stuff. Car is fitted with Exmoor trim pocketed canvas door cards.

Car has no headlining as the original was rotten so I stripped it out the car when I bought it. The heater is not an original type and is located in the passenger footwell.

Through the original type of demister. It is also quite warm.

New bench seats fitted in the rear, with repadded headrests. The item "Land Rover series 2a on Galvanised Chassis tax and mot exempt" is in sale since Monday, June 22, 2020.
