Land Rover Series 2A series iiA V8 LPG years MOT On road off road 1962
For Sale 1962 Land rover Series 2A with a Lovely 3.5 V8 manual 4 speed with an LPG conversion. Landy has just gone through MOT with a minor bit of welding carried out on the rear cross member. Chassis has been painted in a good marine based paint which has really stopped corrosion over the years. It drives with no problems and everything works as it should apart from the speedo.
It has done very little miles over the last couple of years as we have had no time to use it apart from the odd trip around town and to the shops. The V8 is coupled to twin K and N filters which give a lovely induction sound and a nice exhaust which compliments the growl of the V8. Its dirt cheap to run on Lpg and it starts on the button every time.
It has battery cut off switch to prevent battery run down if left for a period. The landy also has a thermostat adjustable Kenlowe fan which is a great asset to have.
It is currently fitted with an almost new exmoor trim safari top which is ideal for the summer and it does also have a full back hard top but it will require a bit of work to re install. The safari top is brilliant all year round as it can be stripped off in a matter of minutes. The landy has an MOT until May 2017. Inside is checker plate which is also an added bonus along with a heater that actually works although it is a bit noisy.
It also has a fairy overdrive and free wheeling hubs. Just to note Interior seats are in great conditon and there are no seat belts. Body work is reasonably straight, paint work could maybe do with a brush putting over it depends how fussy you are!
