Land Rover series 2a Station wagon

  

E Registered original condition Series 2a Station wagon with tropical roof. Has been in our family for over 20 years. Was originally fitted with 2.25 petrol engine but recently has had a 200 TDi Defender engine fitted. Steve Parker exhaust, parabolic springs and correct shocks, overdrive and replacement doors.

It has been used as a working vehicle so not pristine but very useable. Needs several jobs to finish off - all window channels need changing, replacement brake master cylinder to name a few, gearbox has jumped out of 2nd gear for about 15 years but long term may need a replacement gearbox. Chassis is in excellent condition, galvanised rear cross member, bulkhead was repaired professionally about 4 years ago - paintwork is at best classed as original although car started life in Bronze green, was then painted yellow as it was a GPO Line/ winch vehicle. I repainted the car bronze green and Limestone in 1999. Any inspection welcome, a great car, practical and reliable.
