Land Rover Series 3 2.25 Petrol 1983. Just Passed the new stricter MOT with flying colours, and no advisories, new MOT Expires June 2019.
Passed its previous MOT in 2016, with only one advisory and it sat in my barn after a few weekends of use only 1,000 miles between MOT's, I just have to many toys to play with. Fully serviced, spark plugs, fuel filter, engine oil & filter, gearbox, transfer box, axle / diff oils all changed prior to MOT, new HT leads.
As You can see for the pictures its a nice tidy example with the odd scratch and dent, but never abused off road in my ownership. Custom Made heavy duty galvanized steel winch bumper, made to look more like the original.
With 10.9 grade bolts with security capping to prevent undesirables removing. Samuari 9,500 High speed winch with synthetic rope.Remote control & hard wired controller. Fused with separate heavy duty cut off switch. Internally custom Full Back Leather Seats, much much more comfy than the half height seats. Locking steel cubby box, with leather cushion on top for an arm rest. Raptor Dash Fitted With (all run off a fuse box in dash, every ting run separately to correct rated fuse). Midlands 78 Plus CB Radio - Separate Speaker so can run it separate to the music with out drowning each other out, larger whip aerial mounted on the rear. Pioneer DAB Radio with Bluetooth, USB & Aux. Twin Large speakers in Dash, Yes you can head it with the soft top up.
Hard Wired USB Mini power supply just below the windscreen, so you can use Sat nav with out trailing cables, powered from a switch on the raptor dash. Also on the dash the is a very bright Led interior light (JW Speaker).
Wipac LED's all around, side lights, indicators, reverse light, with hazard lights (switch on raptor dash). Wipac Crystal clear head lights with 100w bulbs. Hard Wired Built T-MAX in Compressor for inflating tires etc with all the original accessories. Heavy Duty cut off switch in cab, fuse in engine bay. Twin fuel tanks, with correct change over switch.Rebuilt Gearbox and New Clutch just over two years ago. Galvanized Steel Steering / Sump Guard. Front & Rear Steel zinc Diff Guards. General Lee Dixie horns, yes very childish but they will make you smile.
Spare wheel carrier swing arm. (Not the cheap Britpart One). 5x virtually Cooper Discover Stt Pros...
On gun metal grey steel modulars all tyres still have the little knobbles on, covered less than 500 miles, spare has never seen the tarmac. Heavy Duty tree sliders, solidly bolted to the chasssis so they will stand up to some serious abuse. Optimll Racing products 30mm wheel spacers. Snorkel, fitted to a 200TDI disco filter housing, and silicone hoses to the carb, so yes it actually works unlike some you see.
Also as now runs off a disco filter allot simpler to change / clean. Slick Shift , Syncro grearbox's, gear stick, which removes all play and gives and much shorter throw between gears and better driving all round. New Door Glazed door tops (still not go round to painting, once again not cheap britpart), with originals provided. Currently a soft top, fitted with an Exmoor Trim roof that was new 18months ago and has been stored in a barn since. Chassis has been welded as expected, some are not the most pretty of welds i'll be honest but they are all solid. It is annually treated to a coat of paint so its always kept in good condition. Passed MOT a few weeks ago so no more welding is expected to be required for a while. Brand New Halfords 4 year guaranteed battery, only replaced as I nicked the old one for another project last year. Exmoor Trim Rear Bench Seat.
Exmoor Trim Seat Belt Rail allowing Proper 3 Point Seat belts which have been fitted. Snooker balls for gear knobs for a bit of fun. I'm sure there is bits I've missed but I've got all the major bits included. Bad bits only seem to be cosmetic, any thing mechanical has always been fixed right away using OEM or better parts, Britpart avoided at all possibilities.
The bulk head top corners have been welded by previous owners, whilst its good with no structural rust its not the most tidy. Dent on the front wing (let a friend have her first land rover experience and she met with the only fence post for 100 miles). Just realised the oil pressure gauge and volt meter are not reading, will have a look at repairing them in the week.
Spares Included are a full set of Drums & full brake service kit (yes britpart pistons hence why I didn't get round to fitting them apart form the one wheel i needed to). Any other pares i find that will be of no use to me i will include in the sale but until i start to tidy up i don't know what there will be that I cant be bother to list separately it might spare light cover, it might be a spare engine who knows! Any questions or more picture requests of anything do not hesitate to ask, the land rover does not live at home so its not always a case of i'll nip out and get them there and then so it may have to be the following day, i hope you can appreciate that.
I've been as honest as I can, and every is as accurate as I can be, viewings are welcome but will not take place where I store the vehicle, this part in non negotiable, due to other projects been stored there and I'm very cautious of who is around as you see so many thefts etc going on after viewings. I live just out side of Lewes, but travel all over Sussex and Kent daily so can arrange viewings some where to suit you if needs be and I can be around most evenings and 99% of weekends. Not Included in the Sale: Snap On Tool Box, BBQ on rear Wheel, or High Lift Jack, all are available by negotiations though.
Must be face lift version though. Im only human so any temping cash offers will be considered but Im not desperate to sell so a bag of crisps and a 4 pack is not going to cut it sadly.
