Land Rover series 3 diesel 88 Tax Exempt solid wax oiled chassis

  

Currently there are 11 months mot left of the car, passed last month with only 1 advisory (slight play in front wheel bearing). This has undergone a lot of work in the last 12 months, as follows.

Chassis has been hot washed and fully wax oiled, also been cavity waxed inside the chassis rails. Engine has had a new timing chain fitted and general tune up.

Full set of parabolic springs springs fitted with 1 ton shakles. Full set of pro comp shocks. Full axle and gearbox wading kit fitted and routed up into the roof.

New brake internals of the front (pads and cylinders). Electric fan with rdx fan controller. New light lenses all round.

4 new at tyres fitted. A couple of other nice features are : fairey freewheeling hubs, fairey overdrive, front winch plate (no winch).

All in all this is a really nice truck, the exterior is fairly straight for a 40 year old landrover. A couple of small dents and scratches about, the rear drivers side wing has a nice chunk of paint missing and also on the passengers side rear wing there is a dent from it being revered into a tree. Engine wise it's really sweet, these old 2.25 Diesel engines are real workhorses! Not the most powerful thing but also gets the job done! Starts every time never let me down. Does use a bit of oil but fairly normal for an engine of this vintage! Gearbox is nice and sweet too, changes really nicely and does not jump out of gear like many worn boxes do, also benefits from a fairey overdrive this also is super smooth and operates as it should. Again no noise when engaged as most other wornout ones do! Interior isn't the greatest condition, the seats are torn and slightly tatty but most importantly they are comfortable and supportive unlike most aftermarket monstrousatys a lot seem to get lumbered with. In the rear there is a brand new exmoor trim 2 person bench seat, on the other side there is a slightly older 2 man bench seat as can be seen in the pictures. I'm happy for any potential buyers to come and view the car, hopefully the next owner can look after and love her as much as I have! I'm sure there's loads of stuff I've missed out!
