Here is my Land Rover Series 3 Ex Military 24v FFR, this is a incredibly hard thing to do as i have owned this for 6 years and it has been my baby, i wanted to keep this forever but the past year it has sat and done nothing and its heartbreaking to see it sit when someone else could be using and enjoying it. This is probably one of the most original military land rovers you are going to find, this isnt your usual britpart special 99% of this truck is still original Land Rover parts it left the service with including the brake shoes which have plenty of meat on them still are are in great shape, ive replaced a few consumables like speedo cable, carb, drivers door top, back box and a few seals but much of it is original and undisturbed. Like i said ive had it for 6 years and it that time it has let me down once when the starter solenoid failed but i just crank started it and it got me home. The engine is in great shape and runs sweet as a nut especially with the webber, ive never had to touch this apart from routine servicing and not long ago it had all new plugs points condenser and cap all genuine shielded lucas items. It does weep a bit of oil from here and there as nearly every land rover does but doesnt drip so havent worried as the crap britpart seals dont last 5 minutes anyway.

Requires a new choke cable but ive one here to go on/. Gearbox is lovely tight and doesnt jump out of gear or make any noises it shouldnt, low range is spot on but the 4x4 high range linkage has seized which ill sort if i get time doesnt effect anything and not really needed anyway.

The chassis is by far the best original chassis ive seen its not covered in underseal or anything else just a nice hard wearing chassis black and ive regularly oiled both inside and out along with the springs so its beautiful underneath its never been welded and doesnt need to be its solid as a rock inside and out, i cant stress enough how much care i ve taken to keep the chassis in good condition ive never off roaded this so theres no mud etc inside. Bulkhead is good and ive protected the rust prone areas like where the windscreen sits and door pillars etc. Ive been anal to the point of just being a sad twat about rust preventing this and it shows although a few minor surface areas have popped up over the last year but they are very minor surface and i will sort it before sale. Steerings all good less play than most these old land rovers the tyres are slightly perished and getting on but there legal and this wont go quick enough to ever matter really.

Bodywork is in my opinion lovely but it is a unrestored military paintjob but you couldn't replicate it and the side antennas and weight plate set it off nicely. Interior is typical land rover but the shunt box and distributor box is all there and working and it still has the 2 operator seats in the back.

It had 2 new batteries a year so no problems there. Overall this is a lovely truck and i really dont to see her go but i just cant use these days and its no good it sitting there doing nothing. Please note this is not a restored immaculate Land Rover but it is a original working that is solid as rock and i would drive this to Germany tomorrow if need be. Also if you notice originality is the main theme with this truck so if you want something to jack up and go rock crawling go elsewhere these are getting rarer in original condition as so many were converted and chopped and they need to be kept this way.

Sorry i know theres a lot to read but i really do love this truck and want it to go to a good home as sad as that sounds. It may not be the cheapest but im not desperate to sell but if you want to have a chat give me a ring on 07382852382. Can possibly deliver but ask first no promises.
