Land Rover Series 3 Factory 2.6 109 (Rare) project

  

Hi there up for sale is my running driving series 3 land rover 109 2.6 1971. I have owned the car for nearly 2 years and it has never let me down in that time. It is a running, driving project as it does need bits doing. The front swivels seals are leaking slightly that's a common problem.

Chassis is in good condition and I believe it to be original. Engine is good and doesn't smoke and always starts on cold days. Gearbox is good and doesn't crunch in any gears and also has the fairey overdrive that really helps on fast roads.

4 wheel drive works fine but the transfer box has a little clunk if you drop the clutch hard but has been there since I owned it and hasn't got any worse. Bodywork is in fair useable condition. A lot of people love the shabby land rover look. Since i have owned it I have done regular services.

Changed gearbox rear oil seal and gasket, topped of with new oil. The original exhaust manifold was cracked and are hard to get your hands on so I got one from a rover p4 that runs the same engine.

Welded the drivers foot well with a repair panel. Paint work to rear floor. This car has been looked after over the years and isn't a dog. I have probably forgotten something.
