Land Rover Series 3 petrol 1973 suffix A unfinished project/ spares

  

1973 L reg series 3 swb petrol Landy. Early series number 4883 off the production line and suffix A. Everything along with engine turns freely but will need to be overhauled. Majority of panels sand blasted to remove all paint ready for finishing. The front radiator panel has been restored properly and epoxy etch primed.

The front axle been renovated and has new chrome swivels and seals/ bearings etc. All galvanised metalwork has been re Galv plated- windscreen/ cappings etc etc. Bulkhead is in very good original condition with top and A posts all sound.

Only the footwells will need replacing. Rear tub is good with one replacement wing (some minor dents). The original engine/ ancillaries in situ turns very freely and will need an overhaul as I'm not certain how it runs. The rolling chassis is very moveable and the steering all works so all joints free. Tyres and wheels all good. Chassis is very reasonable but will require outriggers and possibly a back crossmember. No gearbox but these are readily available. No Hard top but if you want one I have an offer from a friend who will give it to me. Whilst majority of parts are there, eg dash/ electrics/ engine ancillaries, I havn't accounted for every small bit/ nut and bolt. This will make a good base for a real nice early suffix A Landy. Some invoices in the file with V5 registered in my name. Open to sensible offers but please view before offering as until you see it you cant make a judgement.
