Land Rover series 3 swb utility

  

Here we have a series 3 Land Rover fitted with the old 2.25 Diesel engine and utility back (early cat flap rear door) it's a 1983. It's in need of a complete strip down and a galvanised chassis , the tub , roof , bonnet and wings are very straight , foot wells are shot but I believe bulkhead is easily saveable.

Door lowers are also good but require repairs. Engine starts and sounds well , gearbox was good and has a overdrive unit fitted , was all functioning when I drove it last. Since being parked up it's lost brakes and clutch , common story! It also has the desirable fairy front hubs.

With my ownership and the previous owners I think it's been around the village for ever. V5c is present and there are some spares to go with it. This is a good project and once done also a valuable 1 , land rovers generally are only going up in value and a series 3 is a good alternative to the much dearer series 1&2s.
