Land Rover Series Fairey Overdrive. This overdrive appears to be in very good condition, it was removed from a 1968 series 2a which was fitted with a RAF re-manufactured engine and gearbox so I haven't a clue how many miles its done. I did test drive the vehicle and the overdrive engaged and disengaged smoothly and there was little difference in transmission noise.

Their is no visible wear to the clutch sleeve or the teeth inside the unit these were still covered with grease when I removed them. The main gear shows very little signs of wear and no damage.

The oil level was correct before draining, on inspection the oil was found to be in good condition with no particles in it. The linkage is complete, there is a little play in the linkage pivots, and a little surface pitting on the link bar and gearbox bracket.

Although it has the correct knob, the gear stick is home made but does function adequately. Will be supplied drained of oil.
