Series 3 safari land rover easy restoration project 2.8 daihatsu engine SA19

  
Safari body b reg dec-1984 series 3 ex military land rover. From the final series 3 military contract. Predominantly good chassis and bulkhead with good foot wells. Daihatsu fourtrak 1999 2.8 non turbo diesel 90.000 miles on engine. Very reliable running engine but starter motor is slow and likely needs replacing although engine bumps/tow-starts easily. Reverse gear will not hold at all and second can drop out on decline if not held. Front door door-tops require replacing. Brakes had new master cylinder two years ago. Needs new tyres all round. Has steel rims for tubeless tyres. Exhaust requires attention - new down-pipe included. Rear safari fuel tank requires cleaning out, currently runs on secondary tank in the rear foot well. Vehicle was in regular use till reverse went kaput.

Been parked now 18 months. Viewing welcome and advised at SA19 nr Lampeter - Llandeilo - Carmarthen.
