Lovely Classic 1960 Series 2 Land Rover Short Wheel Base 88. Shrewsbury Registration - UUJ 789.

Built January 1960 so is a true early Series 2 with the original early parts! Historic Vehicle Certificate from Gaydon included. This is sadly a project Im not going to get chance to finish due to new work commitments and cant leave her standing it isnt fair! Chassis has been fully stripped and rebuilt with new steel.

Bulkhead has been fully stripped and rebuild as above - no rot! Solid Gearbox with Fairey Overdrive! 3 Main Bearing Engine has been fully serviced with new starter motor, alternator, carb and belts.

New wiring loom installed (needs odd connections sorting). New brake shoes and cylinders all round with new lines at rear. Axles Serviced and checked for wear.

Rare Military parts fitted Headlights, early bumperettes, convoy switch, all marker and indicator lenses are early glass! New 5 x 7.50 R16 Military Bar Grip Tyres with Shotblasted and Powdercoated rims. Doors and Door Tops included all solid but not in photos sorry!
