1973 Land Rover Series 3 SWB 2.25 Diesel

  

Sadly the time has come to let someone else enjoy my Landy. Im now commuting from Alfreton to Nottingham six days a week so need something more economical and practical (50 mph max on M1 can be interesting). Since purchasing this Land Rover 16 months ago the following has been done. Complete new AP clutch assembly inc clutch fork and spigot bearing. New parabolic springs front and rear.

Bonnet change to one that takes the spare. Reverse and rear fog light. Van sides c/w windows (used). Also included are the original van sides as shown in one of the pictures, a set of van sides from an original Series 3 in need of refurbishing.

Cubby box/centres box MAP freewheeling hubs (used) Seal and gasket kit for free wheeling hubs. Checker plates for wingtops (used) Checker plate for rear crossmember (new). Spare bonnet and hinges etc. Solid chassis and bulkhead in my opinion.

The chassis has had some welding in the past but it looks good now. Usual diesel smoke on start up that clears after a sort time. I have a video if you would like to hear it running.
