Classic Land Rover series 3 1978 2.5l Diesel non o/d

  

I bought it about 18 months ago for use as winter wheels, but in reality Ive not used it very much and Ive probably only covered around 200 miles since. But it did save my bacon in the snow before Xmas and was great fun! Anyone who knows these vehicles will know they are pretty agricultural and my wife also hates it, which also contributes to it not getting used much.

The good news is this vehicle is fitted with a remanufactured 2.5l Diesel engine which is apparently better than the original 3 bearing 2.3 l. The chassis is solid and the bodywork is good as can be seen in the photos. The previous owner spent a lot on it, but it could do with a bit of fettling- Ive a new set of door seals which I havent fitted but will be included in the sale. It sailed through its MOT on December, with the only advisory relating to the passenger side screen washer not working- but it never has whilst Ive had it, but should be an easy fix. The not so good bits, the rear bench seats are a bit tatty, and the rear floor could do with plating, and if you are doing this Id also be tempted to paint the interior in the back. Any questions please ask, but the value of these in good condition is only going to increase. Ideally, I would like it gone next weekend.
