Classic Series 3 Land Rover SWB 2.2 Petrol 1979. Full tilt canvas

  
My 1979 Series 3 Landy, was used off-road till 1988 (hence the T number plate), was bought by me in 2010 and used on-road till 2012. Since then it's again been used off-road (SORN) for fun and as a shooting wagon, hence the pipe lagging over the rear seats. 2 bench seats in the rear.

Fitted with overdrive, Full canvas tilt (replaced all the original roof fittings with NATO green bungee cord, not original but very practical). Still has the original starting handle and jack (with wooden handle) and factory-fitted fire extinguisher (probably not to be relied upon in the event of a fire). Mileage on the odometer is 84,000 no idea how real that is. Loads of new bits since I bought it including. Chassis welding to meet MOT requirements.

Head skimmed and reseated valves. Right side UJ and half shaft axle. Air filter (again not original but practical). Some spare bits, UJ, set of brake pads and cylinder. One wing has been replaced and it's been driven through woods on a regular basis so don't expect a showroom paint finish.

Love this wagon but downsizing means not enough space to keep it. There are windows as you can see from the photos, I just prefer it without.
