For sale is a 2 Litre Siamese Bore engine for the Series One 80 inch Land Rover. The block has a casting date of 28/11/51 and the engine number is 26105303 which makes this engine originally a 1952 model year.

It turns over freely and looks to be clean and tidy inside without a noticeable lip on the top of the bores, I took the head off to show the insides and youll see that the top of the block between the bores is in nice condition without any signs of gasket issues. The block itself is in good condition and with no frost damage, it has been stored indoors since being taken out and it turns over freely and smoothly. When last used it was a runner but had a leak from the thermostat housing which couldnt be removed as the bolts were stuck so another available engine was installed instead and this one has sat since then. Youll notice that it has the original and difficult to find earlier top rocker cover and the engine also comes with an original genuine heater valve and cast handle along with the outlet for the coolant temperature gauge, both of these were optional extras at the time so not at all common things. I have an engine hoist available to assist with loading when you collect, naturally this sale is cash on colection only.
