LAND ROVER 88 -Series 3. 1971 Only Number 72 in production run

  
It is also only number 72 in the production run which must surely make it one of the oldest Series 3 in existance, but I will stand corrected if anybody knows better. Fitted with the correct 2286cc petrol engine which is in excellent mechanical condition it drives as it should, the gearbox, high and low ratios, 4 wheel drive system and steering are all in good order. It does not have Overdrive. Structurally the car is excellent and has been the subject of a body off rebuild where the chassis has been plated in all the areas where they rust, new outriggers and rear crossmember have been fitted and new bulkhead sections have been welded in. The interior is as shown in the photos in excellent order with new seats and seat belts fitted in the rear and very good condition seats in the front, no rips or tears.

Aluminium chequer plate is fitted to the floors as can be seen. It is currently MOTd until February 2017 so is ready for use or showing. It was repainted in its original colours during 2014, again the invoices are with it for the materials used. The wheels are split rim wellers and the 4 matching tyres are all in very good condition.

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ASKED, YES IT DOES HAVE FREE WHEELING HUBS, AND THE HEADLAMPS ARE WIPAC UNITS FITTED WITH HALOGEN BULBS. THE CAR COMES WITH 2 SETS OF KEYS AND IT DOES LOCK ALL ROUND.
