I have for sale a recently imported 1953 80 with the rare optional welder and governor. The base vehicle is a completely rust free matching numbers 80.
We have sim pathetically mechanically overhauled the vehicle so as not to loose its look or history, this may appeal to some but not others! All new track rod ends.Steering box rebuild (steering services). All new suspension bushes and pins where necessary. Front to rear wiring loom. And probably more that I have forgotten!
The welding plant is 250 amp Lincoln unit which welds better than my set in the workshop! Governor needs some fine adjustment but does seem to do something!
We have gone to the trouble of registering the vehicle (a task in itself) and its now sporting its age related number! Tyres are all fairly perished but holding air. Its had a hard life, engine and gearbox work but certainly arent in showroom condition! Theres going to be leaks! Panel work has all got a story to tell.. Not a straight one on it, I personally love it but others may not. In summary a nice rot free 80 with a difference that could be used as is with a bit off fettling.Or with a set of replacement pannels (now available from ckd shop) a potentially showroom car! I have not put an MOT on the 80 but cant personally see anything it would fail on. Please do not mistake this for a factory built welder it was built in Australia and welder added as an option but it was issued with a centre PTO so will have been fitted from new. Viewing welcome and recommend in Brighton. Can deliver at cost anywhere in Europe.
