Land rover series 1 1958 88 Solid and rebuilt with many newithrefurbished parts

  
PLEASE READ THIS LISTING TILL THE END. 1957 2ltr petrol series one. Original patina left and not repaired. The bulkhead is a reproduction paddocks item from some years ago.

It has surface rust only which has been left and Owatroll applied over it to protect it and so that it'fits' the general patina of the vehicle. The gearbox has had an overhaul with most of the gearsets replaced and all the bearings, it changes as it should and is smooth. The engine was stripped when recieved and has had new rings, the cylinders honed, new shells, new gaskets and all else was found in good order. It was the re assembled with all new gaskets etc.

The swivels were in very poor order and so were overhauled completly with new bearings and swivel balls and set to tolerance. The steering box is good and positive with little play and a new steering relay was fitted. All the brakes are new and to origanal specwith exception of the master cylinder which is a later type series 2 item. The wiring loom is a new autosparks item with the option for indicators(which i have decided not to fit)The fuel pump is new. To the best of my knowledge this vehicle is very origanal, the gearbox and engine no's are not recorded on the heritage certificate but i have them and they are all stamped where they should be. I would expect them to be original. The body is in overall good condition but i have left all the bumps and grazes so as not to detract from its charm and patina. I have the door tops for it also. I do have a full hard top which could come with it by seperate negotiation.

Its origanal registration was sadly lost in time and the DVLA would not re instate it. I do have the heritage certificate from BMIHT and supporting documentation from the series one club showing all its origanal details and the new age related registration asigned by the DVLA. The new logbook is in hand. I have photographs of a lot of this work being carried out. We are in the midst of one of the countrys biggest crisis in history...

And non essential travel is not allowed. I will send whatever i can electronicly and in any form of media including identification, photos, a video of the vehicle and myself, proof of date of video and location of myself. We all need to protect and trust each other. This is not a scam and there is no con.

My feedback is good and im an honest man. I run a small Land Rover specialist in Dorset and have many happy customers who will vouch for my honesty and integrity. All this aside, this is a serious sale of a serious vehicle that has good value, it will not sell for nothing, there is a reserve set and its reasonable for the vehicle. If you know what you are viewing you no its worth and are likely a reasonable person yourself, will abide by the rules and wont be in a mad rush.
