Land Rover Series 1 1958 88 V8

  

Hi, for sale my 1958 Series 1 Land Rover 88 V8 soft top. It was built 17/02/1958, first registration per V5C is 26/03/1963. I have owned this vehicle since 2005 and since then it has undergone a complete rebuild.

It now benefits from many new/refurbished parts. It has had a new: galvanised chassis, parabolic springs and shock absorbers, galvanised bumper, hood sticks, full canvas with side windows, new seats, wiring loom, electric fuel pump, coil, 4 way flashers, reversing lights, 13 pin electric socket, door mirrors, steering wheel/boss, heavy duty steering arms, track rods, complete new braking system including servo, cylinders, pipework and shoes, drive shafts, kenlowe electric fan. It has a 3.5 V8 engine with refurbished SU carbs, it has a series 2 gearbox, series 3 axles, steering box from a P38 Range Rover with PAS, larger front brake drums, repaired rear tub, seat box, engine/transmission tunnel covers, adjustable height towbar, 5 x steel wolf rims with Goodyear Wrangler AT tyres all with little use, spare unused.

Most nuts and bolts used are stainless steel. Work required to improve it further would be: fitting of a radiator expansion tank, heater/demister and adjustment to door fit/seal.

Paintwork to all exterior panels etc are as I bought it with good but used finish, not concours condition by any means. This vehicle really needs to be seen to appreciate it, viewing by appointment is welcome. This vehicle is advertised elsewhere and may be removed from listing at any time.
