Land Rover Series 1 88inch 1957

  
1957 Land Rover Series 1 88inch. Manual, Blue, Hard Top, complete with V5 and photo copy of old V5, due to the age of the Landy i t is M. The log book states it is a diesel but after conversations with my Father-in-Law who has owned it since 1981, it had a 4 cylinder 3ltr Rover petrol engine fitted in the earlier 80's when it was restored for him.

I also presume that during it's long life the chassis has been changed as the serial number on the V5 is for a 1958 series 1 diesel, apparently it was quite common to swap and change these around? This car has been sitting in the field for a few years and has not been started or driven, the paint has faded and there is a few knocks, rust and dents, the bulk head is rusted through and I'm not too sure of the condition of the chassis or interior as it is full of wooden units but it looks mostly complete. This will need FULL RESTORATION and will be a great project for a Land Rover enthusiast.
