Land Rover Series 1 - Very Original - Barn Find - Project Here we have my 1956 Series 1 Land Rover. Its not been on the road since 1992, but has been undercover since then! Its a project vehicle but is all complete, still retains its original petrol engine, gearbox, axles and chassis. Chassis number is: 1117000 The bulkhead has been refurbished to a very high standard.

It does just need the top rail that the vents sit in fitting and the door hinges. The chassis has had front dumb irons, and the bulkhead outriggers, again this has been done that well you wouldn't notice they had been changed! The back cross member is original and looks good, but the tub as of yet has never been off, but from what I have seen the chassis doesn't look bad at the back at all. Basically the chassis is finished from the front to the tub. The front panel has been rebuilt too.

I sourced a very good fuel tank as the original one was rotten, also has 2 new springs laying in the tub, shocks, and many other parts that belong with it. Original hard top roof with'cat flap' tailgate, sadly the glass in side windows is cracked. Screen with original wiper motors present and very good, smiths heater, radiator with cowling all very good condition.

All the dials, badges, grill, pedals, handbrake leaver all present. The only thing I know that is missing is the front bumper. Engine turns over, I have never had it running, but was assured there was nothing wrong with it when she was parked up in 92! Log book present and in my name, has only had 3 owners, was a Norfolk car from new, living only a few miles away from here! I've owned this for a number of years now, i'm more into Range Rover Classics and simply do not have the time to touch this for many more years!
