At some point in the vehicles history, a new rear galvanised half chassis has been fitted. This is a fairly normal repair for a Land Rover of this age. The body of the vehicle is all original high grade birmabrite with straight panels but is slightly beaten up (See in the pictures). The bulkhead (which is steel) Has some surface corrosion, but this is superficial and the bulkhead is generally sound.
Door tops have been removed but we could supply new door tops and include this in any agreed sale. To the best of our knowledge, the vehicle has never been involved in a major collision although there are dents indicative of minor collisions. The interior is original elephant hide seats, with a Smiths heater which most likely need re-cored. The bulkhead plate is original and in situ. The vehicle has all original fittings and furniture, including cappings, toggles and switches. Wipers are original but in need of repair. The vehicle drives very well and has been used on a farm. Ideally we would like the vehicle to be collected although we can move it on a trailer if required. This particular vehicle (Series 2) is one of 20,000 made and becoming increasingly rare. Series 2's were only manufactured from 1958 1961.
