Land rover series 2 1960

  

Welcome to the sale of my lovely 1960 Land Rover series 2. I've loved every minute of owning this old girl, but the time has come for her to go to a new home.

Its in wonderfully original condition, the engine, gearbox and chassis are all original, and have never been rebuilt or replaced. The engine still runs like a metronome and the gearbox selects hi/lo, 2wd/4wd and all gears well. The registration has also stayed with her since new! Since owning it I have carried out the following work.

New brake master cylinder, shoes and cylinders all round. Replaced the whole ignition system. Welding including both dumb irons and a fuel tank outrigger. It would make a great basis for a ground up restoration or, as I have done and prefer to, leave it as it is.
