A very original, unmolested example. Still retains its original engine and twin fuel tanks (good tanks). Went into military service on 25th April 1961. After leaving military service she was bought by Uxbridge service station.
Being used as a recovery truck for their newly acquired British Leyland dealership. Never registered as they used it on trade plates. It clearly spent a lot of time sitting around doing nothing as the mileage still only reads 53794.
The military ID/registration number is still with the vehicle as is the original Rover Company chassis plate. The engine runs well and retains its original specification including Solex carburetor.
I was going to restore her myself but had a change of plan. This is as complete and original as they get and an ideal basis for an interesting restoration. It is a complete restoration that requires a chassis and extensive work or replacement of the bulkhead. Either restore it back to its original military colours.
Back to it's British Leyland livery. Or do something completely different. I can deliver if needed. Please enquire with your postcode for a quote.
