Welcome to the listing for my 1967 Land Rover Series 2a. I have being using this Landie to take garden rubbish to the tip, but it's more than I need so it is up for sale. It has some useful alterations from standard spec. Firstly is it has a 200tdi engine and five speed box from I believe a first gen discovery. Also it has heated windscreens which are amazing on a cold winter's morning.

The engine change has been notified to the DVLA and the log book updated. Front seats are modern replacements and are very comfortable. It does have a current mot until march, but now it is exempt.

The only advisory on the last mot was a tyre close to the limit. The overall condition is solid but rough around the edges. The chassis has been patched over the years, and you should expect to do some more at some point. The body shows a few knocks here and there, but for me it added to the character of the old girl. It rides on parabolic springs, the dampers are new in the last year. We had some wheel bearings changed and the brakes have also been overhauled. The injector pump has also recently been reconditioned as it was starting to leak from the throttle spindle. The tyres are more off road than on, but have good tread. It has a heater fitted. It's made from an oil cooler, so it doesn't look pretty but it works.

One thing of note, when the engine conversion was fitted, the clearance for the exhaust is a bit small and sometimes it catches on the chassis. Also when stone cold second gear is arkward coming down the box. After 5 minutes it's fine.

Going up it's ok. Or it would make a great running project if you wanted to improve the cosmetic appearance. There is lots of old Mots in the history and even the old registration log book.
