Land Rover Series 2a 109 Rare Cab Back

  

Original condition, rare cab back 109 in daily working order. Galvanized chassis, original aluminium cab roof and sand bikini roof/fume curtain from Exmoor Trim. Exceptionally reliable, starts on first turn over, engine doesn't smoke, brakes work well and don't pull, and gearbox doesn't jump out of gear like so many of these old machines. Rare BOSCH cabin heater working, plus original crank handle present and stored behind drivers seat.

Bodywork and paint original and patches of re-paint seen in photos. Spare wheel holder in back and also on bonnet. Speedo doesn't work (so exact mileage unknown) - suspect worm gear out of gearbox needs looking at, other instruments working order incl Amp meter and fuel gauge/sender. Wiper motors work but driver side intermittent. Bulkhead mainly solid, has been patched in the past and may need more attention in the coming years.

Overall been v fun to own and drive, can be enjoyed as is with original patina, or restored/resto-mod. Could be used as reliable daily driver.

Have a few spares like lamps to complete the front end. New door tops, and headlamp/horn arm added from bedford van at some point in the past. Shout for more details or photos.
