New Parabolic springs by Sanderson, 2 leaf front 4 leaf rear. New Bump stops all round. New ES 3000 Gas shocks all round. Front axle case media blasted, etch primed, undercoated then enamel painted 3 coats.
Front axle then rebuilt with new Swivels, bearings, seals, gaskets etc. Diff OK so not rebuilt. Warn free wheeling hubs overhauled and repainted. Refurbished brake back plates, new slave cylinders and brake shoes.Rear axle case media blasted, new axle stiffeners fabricated and installed (old ones removed). Rear axle then rebuilt with new bearings, seals, gaskets etc. Refurbished brake back plates with new slave cylinders, shoes not fitted. Steering control tubes refurbished and fitted with greaseable ball joints.
Steering relay refurbished and oil replaced. Fully restored front grille panel, primed etc, then all coated internally with raptor to prevent future rot issues, then painted in 2K. Bulkhead Fully and professionally restored, rust encapsulation treatment and seam sealer applied. Steering wheel is in Very good condition not requiring any work, Centre cap included but does need a repaint. THE NOT SO GOOD NEWS.
Wiring harness is usable to copy from, but not use, all wires have been labelled as have the instruments, switches etc. Brake lines are toast, but all the fitting are good so only the lines to replace. Front wings have dismantled and flatted back to check for damage and filler, of which hardly any was found, except for an area on the top edge of one outer skin. Please note as the Landy is a 1970 Suffix G we were going to convert it to inboard headlights in the grille panel, as we think it gives the Landy a prettier face. Rear tub was in the process of being flatted back to find its actual state. Worst damage was the ubiquitous rear N/S corner of the tub where the capping is/was.I have resolved most of the issue with the tub on the chassis, the rest will be addressed when the tub get prepped for paint. Tub capping's could do with a re Galv, but all the capping's and trim pieces would have been sent off anyway as a job. Diesel 2.25 engine smokes on start up but then clears, needs a service. Bonnet is the round edge deluxe style with the wheel well and spare wheel mount.
Not bad condition at all. This would have been swopped out for a razor edge type had we continued. Included is a "new other" N/S door bottom together with both of the original door locks, glass and hinges. There isn't a rear door / tailgate, it came without one. Full length roof and blind (windowless) sides included. Smiths square heater, new gear lever boots etc, all the parts saved are reusable and the parts that weren't, we have sourced replacements. We have several crates of the parts removed awaiting spit and polish before refitting. If you have any questions or doubts about what comes with it please ask, otherwise I will be reeling off a shopping list.
Just in case someone looks close at the swivels, they are currently protected under a layer of spray white grease whilst the build is in progress. THE BORING BUT ESSENTIAL BIT. No warranties offered or implied.
