I have owned'Larry' since 2012, but unfortunately since having three children in quick succession, I have been unable to keep up with the work required to keep her on the road. Prior to this she was used on an almost daily basis and provided much fun, both on the road, and for some light green laning. She failed an MOT in 2015 and has been stood since on my driveway and not run.
In the interest of honesty the failure list consisted of the following. Nearside/offside headlamp not working on main beam (switch already replaced by myself). Stop lamp remains on (return spring is missing from the pedal). All brakes deficient, to keep it brief.
Advisory items were shown as follows. Slight corrosion to rear brake hose. Slight play offside front wheel bearing. Oil leak means there's some in it!
Prop shaft universal joint worn. No mention of any chassis corrosion on the MOT.
I have looked underneath this morning, as best I can, and other than some light surface rust, cannot see anything of note. She has obviously been patched up in the past, in line with her age and use (coming up 50 years old). Does require new door tops.
She has been sat on the driveway for a while now, and I would fully expect her to require more work than shown above and is not running. The previous owner used her for some light off roading and fitted some harnesses and a roll cage, both more for looks than a safety purpose. I still have the roll cage and will include it.She has had plenty spent on her in the past as demonstrated by all the paperwork (picture 11). She's not perfect, requires work, and will need to be towed away, but deserves to be back on the road where she belongs.
