For sale my 1964 series 2a swb Landrover. Lets get this in from the start, she is not in the slightest bit original! If youre after a pristine all original, then shes not for you. But the changes made have been made for better drivability, as we all know how bad the ride is in a standard one.

She has been fitted with a 2ltr prima Perkins turbo diesel, from a montego. Behind this is a 5-speed gearbox from a 90/110, lt77 I believe? She no longer has selectable 2/4 wheel drive, but is now permenant 4wd, with the diff lock transfer box. (Im led to believe you could make it 2wd again by fitting free wheeling hubs). She also has been fitted with power steering from an early Range Rover, which means that you can overtake lorries with ease on the motorway and stay in front of them, all without the worry of the steering wheel shaking loose from your hands!!!

The power steering takes this away. She has a full Rocky Mountain parabolic suspension set up underneath, with Home made rock sliders on the sills. Under the bonnet is an aftermarket fan with Kenlowe fan switch and a pipercross air filter. Body wise, she is tatty, she has surface rust, and dents in places. Would benefit from New door bottoms. She has been hand painted previously. The bulkhead is out of a series 111 including the dashboard. Both footwells have been fully replaced with proper complete items from a restoration company, not weld over panels. The old ones were cut out completely and replaced. She is fitted with a series 2 front panel with halogen converted headlights, and also series 111 wings, with headlights, although these are not wired in. The chassis has been welded and modified. It has had a new rear quarter fitted in the last few years. She has weller 8-spokes fitted with road biased tyres. Inside she has two front seats with a handy cubby box, and in the rear, a bench seat fitted in one side.

She also comes with 2 spare Perkins engines, one from a montego and one identical but from a different vehicle. Plus a few assorted engine spares. As I said earlier she is not a looker, but if youre after a good solid base, that drives well and has had well thought out up grades fitted, then she may be for you.
