Land Rover series 2a Galvanised chassis

  

The landrover has been with my family for twenty years I will be very sad to see this go. A few modification been made over the years. Parabolic springs have been fitted with gas shocks.

It has militery shackles giving a slight suspension lift so replaced the brake lines with extended ones. It has a galvanised chassis so no issues with rot. The bulk head has had new door Pilers and foot wells fitted. The engine fitted is an ACR power plus engine which is a vast improvement on the original set up. Look up their website for details as the kits are very expensive. The truck also benefits from over drive and free wheeling front hubs. The front brakes are from a long wheel base with a servo so are not to bad for an old Land Rover. The brakes have just been overhauled with all new shoes and two new drums on the front.

A roll cage has been fitted but this can easily be removed as it is fittied with sandwich plates to the chassis so can easily be unbolted. I believe it has an S3 gear box and all works well.

It has also had a new steering relay recently fitted. And driver and passenger door bottoms have also been replaced for new. The landy is not the most original example on the net but it is a good usable example. I have had hours of fun driving and working on this and I hope some one else can have as much fun as I have had. The roof comes off in no time and is great fun in the summer.

Mot is till November passed last time with no advisories. Viewing is highly recommended as this is a very old car and buyers should be aware of what they are getting.
