For Sale 1969 Land Rover series 2A. 2.25 petrol 88 chassis.

Complete and running restoration project. Reluctantly up for sale is this original Series 2A that we have owned for around 6 months. Bought with the intention of fully restoring but a change in circumstances means its no longer going to be possible for us to complete it. We picked up this old Landy as a genuine Barn find, which had been stood for 35 years!

It is still registered with the DVLA and shows only 1 owner from new! Upon collecting the vehicle I replaced the entire fueling and ignition system including a new fuel tank.

Stripped and cleaned the zenith carburetor. Fired her up and set the timing. After a few minutes of running the smoke cleared and the engine ran really smooth and revved freely. The engine and Chassis I'm told are original and my intention was to restore the original chassis. So I started ordering outriggers which will come with it.

A few people have suggested a galvanised chassis. I wanted to keep it as original as possible but that will be up to the new owner. The odometer shows just 67000 miles. We spent a long time searching for the perfect restoration candidate and this one really stood out for its originality, low miles and only 1 owner. It has huge potential and will be a stunning vehicle when complete. Please remember this S2A is in need of full restoration and can only be driven for loading purposes.
