The changes were done around 2002, including the re-galvanising of all brightwork. A lot of the interior panels, as well as some outside ones, were powdercoated. Most nuts and bolts are stainless.

The exterior colour is Landrover Marine Blue. By now she does show signs of usage again, and some age-related wear like the bleached paint, some oxidation along the door bottoms and the rear body, and - dare I say it - some rust around the windscreen washer tubing above the instrument panel. The gas tanks could also do with some underbody seal.

Otherwise she is rock solid (see photos), and easily has another 47 years of proper use in her - but she is not done up as a concourse vehicle. Hence the low starting price for a special one like this. There is also a box with used and new spares in the back, including a pair of brand-new genuine wing mirrors and the original steering wheel. PLEASE NOTE: This is a genuine Classic, with a double-declutch 4-speed gearbox and a recirculating-ball steering box! If you don't know Series Landrovers, do not expect her to drive like a late-model Defender...
