Land Rover series 2A swb V8

  

I have owned this Land rover for the last 11 years and in that time it has had very little use with most of its life stored in a dry shed undergoing extensive improvement works as and when I got the time. The land rover is mechanically sound throughout and cosmetically as you see it in the photo's the idea was to knock out the dent in the hardtop and then paint it too match. Inside I have changed the seats for county seats as they are more comfortable and fitted an extra dashboard display with a rev counter/oil pressure gauge/water temp gauge in front of the steering wheel. The engine all works fine and starts first turn of the key and does not smoke and has plenty of power which is all ways great fun with the usual series land rover steering!

The land rover comes with additional cab in fair condition and a full set of hood sticks and a canvas hood with no back panel in it so the canvas hood was what I used in the summer and either full hardtop or cab in the winter, the condition of the canvas top is not great but does the job. The only fault worth mentioning is that the bulkhead has rusted on the inside just below the windscreen on the nearside in the usual place and would have been the next job I was going to do if I was able, not a major repair and if you know land rovers you'll know where I mean. She went straight through the mot in June with no advisories and has done about 2 miles since the mot, the exhaust was made up by me and whilst it may look a little ugly if you get under the vehicle it does the job and sounds lovely as a V8 should do. Various little modifications have been done here and there all sensible improvements like wheels and tyre's/ fuel pump isolation key switch/spotlights etc so she is not standard series 2A but looks good and goes well.

I have set a realistic reserve price as due to health reasons I can longer sensibly keep the vehicle. Sad to see her go she's a great little Landy.
