Recently had lots of work carried out including. Full engine rebuild by Billcar Precision engineering (done less than 15 miles). Reconditioned gearbox (again less than 15 miles). New fuel tank and fuel lines. New distributor, HT leads and spark plugs. Kenlow electric fan with thermostat. This is a great example of a series 3 with a lovely patina look, and a chance to own an increasingly rare model being the straight six.

She runs very smoothly, starts on the first turn and makes a lovely sound as all Land Rover enthusiasts know! The 2.6s are renowned for overheating, for peace of mind a brand new custom radiator (identical to the original 2.6 radiator) and Kenlow electric fan have been fitted and so she now runs cool. The chassis is original and solid and has been professionally coated with WaxOyl.

The bulkhead is also solid, (some light surface corrosion around the window hinges) it has had a thorough inspection whilst the engine was being removed. Also comes with a set of 5 general grabber tyres on discovery 1 wheels powder coated black. Many spares and parts are also available to be included in this sale, such as a 2.6 engine, a series 3 gearbox and transfer box and a series 3 truck cab with door tops.
