Land rover series 3 109 LWB ex military 24 volt

  

For sale an ex Army Land rover Series 3 109 Lwb. Built for the army in 1984 this was one of the last series 3's and was subject to a deep rebuild by the Army in 1992. Left the army in 2001 and was last MOT, d in 2006.

Came to me as an unfinished project it has been totally rebuilt and almost all components are new or refurbished including new brakes new shocks and springs new carb new electronic ignition new brake pipes and lines new fuel tank, new seats and seatbelts and the list goes on. The engine has been rebuilt in the last ten years and done less than 8000 miles.

The chassis is the original heavy duty army spec with 2 lift for extra ground clearance and is in excellent condition. Bodywork is not perfect and the paintwork though tidy is not concourse standard and comes with a few dents as befits a 30yr old Landy.

Has the original 24 volt system and 90 amp generator, shunt box etc as was originally fitted for radio. The batteries are located between the front seats under the original metal cover and the wiring loom is brand new. The engine also benefits from a separate military spec oil cooling system. Good overall condition largely rebuilt, gearbox engine and chassis are all in excellent condition. Bulkhead is repaired and rust free. Fuel gauge faulty shows full when ignition on. Canvas hood is less than a year old and in very good condition but has two small rips in the rear panel (usually unseen as rolled up).
