Here we have for sale my Land Rover series 3 LWB (very first of the series 3s). It is in pretty good condition for the age the panels are all straight. Everything works as it should, passed last MOT with no advisories (The mot expires 08/18 but according to new rules will be MOT EXEMPT from May 2018 so shouldn't need another mot) last picture shows the rule change. It is a 2.5 non-turbo Diesel engine with standard series, 4 speed gearbox. It has a TORO OVERDRIVE which works well smooth and quite in operation (these are supposed to be stronger more realiable units than the fairey ones).

It also has heavy duty Fairey free-wheeling hubs. In the past 12 months it has had new. Cam belt was changed about 2 years ago has done approximately 5000 miles since. Chassis is solid all the way through, no holes, it has had one or two patches throughout its life, front section was repainted when the engine was removed for the new clutch. Rear half could do with painting at some point, have not done this yet as I intended to fit a new rear cross member although it is solid but not the correct one for the vehicle.

Bulkhead is good had one small patch on the driver side corner. Whole vehicle could possibly do with repainting but I quite like the patina so I have left it as is. Wiring all works although it is abit scruffy.

There is some foam missing from the dash on the passenger side. Will come with stereo and speakers all working. Mechanically everything is good, although it would benefit from new front swivel housings as they are pitted and weap. It has a small weap from rear crank seal, a new one was fitted when the clutch was changed. Doors open and close fine could do with new door seals.

Comes with bull bar (spot lights aren't wired in) and small winch approx 1ton rated. Have tried to be as honest as possible will answer any questions to the best of my ability. It is in daily use so has not been cleaned. Viewing welcome in the evenings.
