Land Rover Series 3 1978 2.5 N/a Diesel Non-O/D

  
Ive just had a fairly major job change and now have to commute much further and this is the only reason for sale. Ive had plenty of use out of it over the last winter and I have listed this before and it generated a lot of interest, However, I removed from sale due to burning out the clutch rescuing cars stuck in snow drifts during the last period of bad weather. The chassis is solid, and this has all- terrain off- road tyres all round all of which are in good condition. The engine isnt original as this would have been a 2.25l Diesel, this one has a 2.5l diesel, which is stamped remanufactured for ABRO this stands for Army base repair organisation so this engine appears to have military origins even if the Landry doesnt. This vehicle does not have an overdrive! It never has been a motorway cruiser and is never likely to be one! However this is a lot of fun, and useable.

It sailed through the last MOT, with only a single advisory about the passenger side windscreen washer not working, but to be honest it never has and I just havent got round to sorting. The headlights have been upgraded from the original sealed beam to halogen and the difference is incredible- the sealed beams were scary in the winter!

The not so good bits- are that the rear bench seats are a bit tatty and the rear floor would benefit from a plate , and Id do this if I were keeping it.
