Land Rover Series 3 2.25 Diesel engine 1973 Fully Refurbished top end. Here is my 1973 2.25 Diesel engine from my Land Rover. Was running perfectly before I (wrongly) thought the top end needed a rebuild as it was turning over very slowly. It turned out to be the old style glow plugs going to earth. So the top end has now had new valve guides, springs, seals collets and valves fitted including new head and manifold gaskets. Whilst doing all this work, a friend gave me a newer motor, so I've fitted that and this one is now surplus to requirements. As you can see from the pics, it comes with the clutch, all manifolds, injectors and most of the others bits need to drop right into your Land. Apart from the offending glow plugs! I can throw in an alternator too. When it was in my Land Rover, it smoked a little on start up don't they all? But other than that, it ran lovely. As you can imagine, its a bit heavy too courier but given enough notice, I can get it on a pallet and possibly load it for you.
