Land Rover series 3 6 Cylinder 109 Highly Original Best Available

  

Here for sale is my series 3 109 6 cylinder Land Rover in bronze green. Original owners manual, starting handle and jack.

Lots of bills/ invoices from the last 5 years. Excellent driving example having recently completed a 250 mile trip with not a single issue. This is a very good example mechanically and bodily not requiring any work. In the last 5 years this Land Rover has had a new clutch assembly along with seals for the gearbox and engine crank.

There has been a stack more of work and maintenance carried out with a bundle of bills to prove. Everything mechanically is close to 100% for a series Land Rover of this period - there are no leaks, nasty untoward noises or issues with its brakes. The engine is incredibly smooth and pulls very nicely. Engine temperature is reached easily and maintained with no over heating whatsoever. Gear changes are very good and no jumping out of gear like so many do.

4WD selection is fine and functioning well. Free wheeling hubs work as they should. The braking system works extremely well and pulls up evenly. All electrics work as they should. I have fitted a small 12 v auxiliary heater in the cab to assist with warming and defrosting as the original Smiths heater is not amazingly warm- very typical but it does keep the windows de-misted when engine is warm.

12 volt heater can be unplugged and removed very easily. The chassis is in very good condition only having professional minor repairs carries out. The chassis has been regularly wax oiled over the last few years.

The bulk head again is very good only having small repairs carried out. Interior seats are in good condition with the middle seat being fairly new. A new cubby box is included in the sale. In more recent years the Land Rover has been re-sprayed in its original factory colour and still presents very well today.

Theres some very minor paint blisters on the bottom of the doors but nothing that is worth bothering with. Tyres are in good condition - fronts down a little compared to rear one but still have a few thousand miles in them. This is an unrestored 40 year old Land Rover which has its marks and blemishes so this must really be understood and expected.

To be fussy:- Felt channels can do with renewing although not essential. Galvanised rear tub caps are painted black so the new owner may wish to remove this paint.
