Stainless Steel Rear Door bolt upgrade. I have owned this vehicle for over 8 years. Since owing it, its been in daily use during the summer period and also used as a family touring vehicle for day trips and holidays. Despite it being an all weather vehicle it has been taken off road for the last few years during the winter period and used only in summer. Reliability: The vehicle has been converted to Electronic Ignition, it starts first time every time regardless of weather. The vehicle has been well maintained, I have a sizeable collection of invoices and have spent a lot more than the asking price for this vehicle (too much to list). Restoration: In 2011 a galvanized chassis was fitted. The engine was replaced with a better 2.2 Land Rover petrol engine with a genuine 14,000 recorded miles.

The engine was taken from a Land Rover Fire Engine used at the Leyland-Daf factory (Leyland Lancashire), this vehicle never went on the road hence the very low mileage. I estimate the current mileage to be "under" 50K (based on 5,000 p/y). It's a very good engine and if put in overdrive will pull up to 70mph without effort. Gearbox and Fairey Overdrive: All fine, no whining and no jumping out of gear. Fairey Overdrive works well no whining.

Interior: One of the most comfortable Series 3 on the road. The front two seats are full leather Jeep Grand Cherokee Seats converted to fit this 3 series. However, I have kept the original seats with seat mountings should anyone wish convert back.

(easy to do parts included). Useful bits: The exhaust is in excellent condition this was replaced around 2 years ago with a thick gauge (expensive but good) system. Leaf springs were replaced with brand new ones in 2011 (plenty of life in them). Brakes were recently checked and new cylinders fitted.
