Land Rover Series 3 88" Nut & Bolt Restoration A Rare Opportunity to Acquire a Restored & Very Desirable Series III Land Rover 88". First registered 8th December 1980.

Finished in a very unique Amaranto red with black rims and canvas. The vehicle has been subject to a full in house restoration by myself a qualified mechanical engineer, which has just been completed. The vehicle is in immaculate condition and drives very well.

The vehicle has always been dry stored and has travelled very few dry miles since the restoration was completed. I also have documentation and photographs throughout the rebuild.

The vehicle is also matching numbers, totally original throughout and therefore eligible for US export. The vehicle is so practical and will be undoubtedly reliable for the long trips due to it's recent rebuild. The vehicle has undergone a thorough and comprehensive restoration, retaining as many original parts as possible.

The chassis is original and was sand blasted and re painted black. The rebuild has included the engine, gearbox and axles being overhauled. Correct deluxe seats and rear bench seats have been fitted throughout. New brakes including wheel cylinders, brake pipes, shoes and drums. A new fuel tank, shock absorbers, new lights all round, new hoses, clips, door seals, mats, clutch, slave cylinder, master cylinder, new servo, and window channels.

There is just too much to list. There has been no expense spared on this vehicle, if it needed replacing it has been and further improved. Hundreds of hours have been spent on this restoration.

All the galvanising has been stripped and re done during the restoration the attention to detail is amazing. As you would expect from a full restoration everything is in order, extremely clean. The original 2.25 petrol engine runs very well and has plenty of power and starts straight up even on the coldest of mornings. A joy to drive and such fun. Four-wheel drive and low range engage, as they should.

The gearbox has been overhauled. The vehicle will be fully serviced including engine, oil filter, main gearbox, transfer box, diffs and the swivels. You will have to go a long way to find a better vehicle and i believe this is the best restored Series 3 88on the market today. This is a fantastic example of a 41 year-old Series Land Rover.
